Okay I need to rant about this for a second because NOBODY prepared me.
You will not have a kitchen for weeks. I know that sounds obvious when I say it out loud but you don’t really GET it until you’re brushing your teeth over the bathroom sink and your five-year-old asks “why are we eating pizza again?” for the fourth night in a row.
We set up this sad little station in the dining room with a microwave, a toaster oven, and a mini fridge. It was like being back in college except worse because I’m 40 and my back hurts. We ate so many frozen meals. So many. My wife still won’t look at a Lean Cuisine.
The dust gets everywhere too. EVERYWHERE. Even with them putting up plastic sheets. I was finding drywall dust in rooms that were nowhere near the kitchen. Our dog was gray for a month.
